‘SAKI’ Painting Time-lapse Polymer Clay Sculpture

I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I was on a really tight schedule so I didn’t have time to record the sculpting process sorry 😛 I’m currently still working on my pieces for the upcoming mini solo in January. I will try to post as often as I can. Thank you for being patient with me!

This piece is inspired by my trip to Japan earlier this year. I wanted to create a character that’s based on cherry blossom which is my favorite flower. I always wanted to visit Japan during the spring for the cherry blossom festival. When I saw a photograph of the river covered with cherry blossom petals I was picturing a girl with petal pink skin and dragon horns emerging from the river.

This sculpture will be displayed at Corey Helford Gallery for their annual “Art Collector Starter Kit” group show. The opening night will be held on December 1st. To inquire about this piece please contact the gallery at Thank you!
