Tang Tang! | Polymer Clay Sculpture

‘Tang’ meaning candy/sugar in Chinese. My mom told me whenever we were at the grocery store I always ran to the candy aisle and shouted out “Tang Tang!” asking her to buy me candies. I never had a sweet tooth. But I was obsessed with candies and candy wrappers, lollipops specifically. I just loved the shapes, the colors and how eye-catching they are. This sculpture is inspired by my childhood.

This sculpture is for Corey Helford Gallery 13th anniversary group show ‘Lucky 13’ on view May 18 – June 22. More details on www.coreyhelfordgallery.com. This piece is sold.

Love,
Tina
